We regret to inform you that the  2024 Hands Across the Border Celebration has been cancelled due to low registration. All ticket buyers will receive their registration & t-shirt refunds (including ticketsignup fees) on or before April 25th, 2024.

Event Description

HANDS ACROSS THE BORDER CELEBRATION

Sunday, June 9th, 8:30 am – 2:30 pm

The celebration site is the world-famous Peace Arch State & Provincial Parks. The parks are on the U.S. - Canada border, in Blaine, Washington, and Douglas, British Columbia!

Hands Across the Border is open to all Scouts, Boy Scouts, Trail Life USA, Girl Scouts, Campfire, American Girls, Girl Guides, leaders, traders, volunteers, Peace Arch alums, and their families.

REGISTRATION FEE: $15.50 PER PERSON  (U.S. FUNDS)

EARLY BIRD $12.50 No CODE required.

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION DISCOUNT $3 per registration extended through March 17th, 2024.

Your registration fee includes an official Hands Across the Border (HATB) program, crest/patch and flags, and other goodies.

We look forward to welcoming Scouts Canada, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts, Girl Guides, Trail Life USA, Camp Fire, American Heritage Girls, leaders, traders, volunteers, HATB alumni, and their families as you come together to celebrate this incredible youth program that has touched so many lives for generations. You may come as a troop or unit or with your parent(s) or guardian.

You may purchase your event T-shirt(s) in your desired size during your Ticketsignup registration process.  Your order will be waiting for you to pick up when you check in.  Please notify your check in volunteer. All t-shirt orders will be listed for pick up by the name of the purchaser.  The purchaser will need to present their receipt to recieve their order.

HANDS ACROSS THE BORDER CAMPSITES | BLAINE MARINE PARK | JUNE 7th, 8th, 9th.

 
Enjoy camping on Boundary Bay at Hands Across the Border Camp in Blaine Marine Park The Blaine Marine Park is open to 350 registered HATB participants. You/your unit must be registered for the HATB celebration to qualify to reserve campsites. Campsites will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once the camp is full, we will post it on this page. 
 
The Ticketsignup service provides a list of registered HATB participants in the order they are received. If you wish to RESERVE a CAMPSITE, you will check a box on your order form and receive an email notification within 48 hours to begin processing your reservation. 
The Camp RV sites are by DONATION, which will cover the costs of the IPAA providing services required by the City of Blaine to hold the camp. The suggested DONATION for a CAMPSITE is $30 per night (max 10 per site), and an RV SITE is $35 per night. There is a discount for staying both Friday and Saturday nights. Camp donations will be processed when you reserve your site.

FROM THE USA

 The Peace Arch Historical Park is located on Interstate 5 in the city of Blaine, twenty-one miles north of Bellingham, Washington, at the US/Canadian border, in Blaine. Exit north or southbound I-5 exit 276, Blaine City Center. Follow signs and head north on Second Street to the park entrance.

FROM CANADA

30 miles south of Vancouver, British Columbia, on Hwy 99, at the Douglas Border Crossing. Hwy 99 to Beach Avenue. The park entrance and parking area are located off of Beach Drive (behind the Peace Arch From Canada: The Peace Arch International Park is located Duty-Free store).

TERMS & CONDITIONS

INTERNATIONAL PEACE ARCH ASSOCIATION (IPAA) 
REGISTRATION | REFUND POLICY | EVENT CANCELLATION

REGISTRATION
  • There is NO Minimum Number of Registrants required to hold the event. There is a Maximum of 1000 Registered Participants for the 2024 HATB Celebration.
  • GROUP LEADERS, PARENTS AND ALL PARTICIPANTS agree to download complete, and you, your child or your groups participants completed and signed
    REGISTRATION - PARTICIPATION - LIABILITY WAIVER to the EVENT CHECK-IN registration next to the USA Kitchen. This is also where you will pick up your event Goodie Bag.
  • The IPAA will post on our website, email updates to registered attendees, TICKETSIGNUP, and Facebook announcing the event status and updates. Add Ticketsignup.io to your SAFE sender's lists to receive your event UPDATES.
REFUNDS & TRANSFERS

REFUNDS are processed by request through April 9th, 2024. Request a refund in your account on the TICKETSIGNUP. Registration TRANSFER requests will be processed through May 31st, 2024.
Contact the IPAA to request a transfer by email at registration(at)handsacrosstheborder.org. Include your order number, the participant's name is to be REMOVED, and the participant's name is to be ADDED.

NO REFUNDS will be issued for any reason after April 9th, 2024. Due to our financial requirements and commitments to holding the event, all registration fees will become non-refundable on April 10th, 2024. 

TICKETSIGNUP FEES

TicketSignup fees are based on the number of Tickets purchased. This gives buyers a substantial discount for group ticket purchases over other event ticket vendors. Therefore, Ticketsignup has a policy that their FEE is non-refundable. 

EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY

IN THE EVENT OF CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, THE 2024 HANDS ACROSS THE BORDER PEACE ARCH CELEBRATION IS CANCELLED AND CAN NOT BE RESCHEDULED; THE IPAA WILL DISTRIBUTE ALL GOODIE BAGS & PRE-PAID T-SHIRTS TO THE PURCHASER / GROUP LEADERS FOR DISTRIBUTION TO THE PARTICIPANTS THEY REGISTERED.
 
GROUP LEADERS WHO LIVE WITHIN 75 MILES OF THE PARK WILL BE INVITED TO PICK UP THEIR GOODIE BAGS / T-SHIRT(S) AT THE PEACE ARCH PARK SNACK SHACK ON SPECIFIC DATES. GROUP LEADERS WHO LIVE BEYOND 75 MILES WILL HAVE THEIR EVENT. GOODIE BAGS / T-SHIRT(S) WILL BE MAILED TO GROUP LEADERS WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE CANCELLATION.

In Addition, the International Peace Arch Association is NOT responsible for any hotel, motel, camping, or reservation cancellation fees registrants may incur due to the cancellation of the Hands Across the Border Peace Arch Celebration program.

 

Our event follows the standard industry policy: All ticket purchases become non-refundable on April 10th, 2024. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control such as a natural disaster or emergency or as required to protect the safety of attendees and staff. The USA and Canadian Governments closed the border during COVID-19 Pandemic. While we cannot imagine anything this happening standard industry policy must reflect the outside forces that exist in their terms and conditions. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. We reserve the right to change the details of the event without prior notice. 

 

By completing this purchase, I understand accept the terms and conditions. I acknowledge (or a group leader,  parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver including the refund policy.

 

TICKETSIGNUP PROCESSING FEES SLIDING SCALE

                              The more participants you register or the merchandise your purchase your fees are reduced. 
 
DISCOUNTED REGISTRATION FEE EXAMPLES:
The fee for ONE registration is $1.90.  
The fee for TWO registration is $1.40 for each participant ($2.40 total fee).
The fee for FIVE registrations is $1.10 for each participant (total fee $5.50).
The fee for TWELVE registrations is $1.00 for each participant (total fee $12.00).  
 
We moved our registration from EVENTBRITE due to their January 2023 PROCESSING FEE increase to $2.36 per registration. EVENTBRITE has no discounts for multiple registrations. If you registered twelve youths at EVENTRITE, your group's PROCESSING FEE would be $28.32 versus Ticketsignup $12.00.  

We are sorry for the inconvenience of changing service providers. We hope you appreciate the Ticketsignup discount pricing.
