What the Constitution Means to Me, a play by Heidi Schreck, is back in LA this October for a limited engagement.
This Pulitzer Prize-finalist piece brings new life to the United States Constitution and asks us to question what, and who, we truly value.
When fifteen-year-old Heidi was growing up, she entered Constitutional debate competitions to earn money for college. Now, a grown woman trying to understand the implications of nationalism, government, and beliefs, Heidi brings back her teenage self to explore the profound relationship between four generations of women and to explore what the Constitution really means to her.
Directed by Kevin O'Rourke, Jr. and starring Genny Wilson as Heidi, this enlivening piece asks us all to question our foundational beliefs and assess just what we're willing to stand for.
