Event Information
You are invited to an intimate gathering of friends and supporters to hear stories of hope and success in the face of the opioid crisis. Join us at Zingerman’s Greyline to enjoy good food, live music, and valuable fellowship on Thursday, November 14th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The event will be hosted by a nationally recognized public speaker and writer, Debra Jay. The focus of this years event will be "Unicorns are Real". We are partnering with The Unicorn Project to bring you real stories of hope and success in the midst of the opioid crisis.
What are Unicorns?
Media reports and comments from “experts” give the impression that opioid addiction (heroin, vicodin, etc.) is a near hopeless condition and that the only hope is maintenance on other opioids (buprenorphine and methadone).
Some of these reports acknowledge that there are people who achieve drug-free recovery, but imply that they are extremely rare. It almost sounds like everyone’s heard of them, but no one’s seen one—like unicorns.
We know this isn’t true.
The real stories you will hear about hope and success are Dawn Farm unicorns. These are people who have sustained full recovery for more than 5 years!
Recovery from opioid addiction is not a myth!
