A Day-Long CFEE Professional Development Seminar

Using the development of a model business plan as a guide, these sessions will explore and reveal the process by which successful administration and management programs are developed.  Session attendees will explore the ins and outs of managing a board of directors, building an effective leadership and administration team, identifying budget targets and making them work, establishing marketing plans, identifying competition and establishing a business paradigm that will give more, "gravitas," to an event-producing organization.

Mr. Ira L. Rosen is the President and CEO of Ira L Rosen, LLC, a consulting firm providing services to the worldwide festival and event industry. He is a highly regarded consultant with decades of global industry experience and is currently serving as the Immediate Past Chair of the International Festivals and Events Association Foundation (IFEA) Board. Although he has a very comprehensive industry background, he specializes in the areas of event risk assessment, evaluation and planning for festivals and events, creative event design, and practical strategic development. From 2008 to 2023, he was an Associate Professor of Event Management at Temple University, and he taught many different event management courses. He was also responsible for the development and management of their award-winning Event Leadership Executive Certificate program and continues to serve the University as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Additionally, for over thirty years he owned and operated Entertainment On Location, Inc. (EOL), a full-service event production and consulting company based in New Jersey. Prior to opening EOL, Ira worked for over seven years with Radio City Music Hall Productions. His production background includes the Super Bowl half-time show, multi-million-dollar parades, major corporate events around the world and tourism development projects for many different organizations.

Ira has been a featured speaker at conferences and conventions and has done training programs around the world. Recently, he was the keynote speaker at the World Cultural Heritage Forum in Suncheon, Korea and he will be a featured speaker at the UK Global Crowd Management Alliance Conference. He has written and spoken extensively on key industry topics ranging from risk management to sponsorship to the financial and operational management of events. His most recent publication was in the Field Guide to Crowds, published in January of 2024 by the Global Crowd Management Assocation. Ira holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Montclair State University in New Jersey and is a Certified Festivals and Events Executive (CFEE) and a Certified Event Designer (CED) . He has been inducted into the International Festivals and Events Association Hall of Fame, becoming one of only 75 people in the world to hold this honor. He has also received numerous awards and recognitions from Temple University, the International Live Events Association, the IFEA and many others.
