Admission is free to all events, but donations to the Friends are appreciated. The Friends of the Johnson Public Library is an independent 501(c)(3) organization whose primary purpose is to support and advocate for the library’s mission as the community’s destination for discovery, learning, and making connections, through Fundraising, Advocacy, and Volunteer Work. We are a community volunteer driven organization. Through fundraising, we will seek to raise money for the Library in order to fund programs, services, infrastructure and technology that are beyond the Library’s financial capacity. Through advocacy, we will make the case for increased understanding of, and support for, the role of the Library in today's society. Through volunteer work, we will expand the ability of the Library to offer programs and services.
