Formed as a grassroots organization by farmers and ranchers in 1947, at the Placer Resource Conservation District, we're dedicated to promoting the wise use and conservation of natural resources in our community. As a non-regulatory Special District, we work hand-in-hand with partner agencies, private landowners, and local organizations to achieve this mission effectively.
The word "conservation" literally means "to save together". Please join us in advancing conservation to ensure a beautiful and prosperous Placer County for generations.
Here's how your support can make a significant impact:
Placer RCD is 85% grant funded. For every $1 we receive in direct funding, we bring in an additional $11 in conservation investment into Placer County. Your donation multiplies its impact, stretching resources to accomplish more for our environment.
Your contribution is instrumental in sustaining a variety of programs. These include initiatives that may only sometimes attract grant funding but are crucial for delivering essential conservation assistance to our community. Every dollar you donate goes directly towards making a tangible difference, supporting educational initiatives, and funding practical conservation projects.
Your donation to the Placer County Resource Conservation District is fully tax deductible. By supporting us, you contribute to conservation and benefit from valuable tax savings.
