What is the event?

Pistons and Props is a new community event to Southern Wisconsin.  Please join us for Aircraft rides (for sale), static displays, car show, food/drink, live music, and a childrens activity/education area. 

Is Pistons and Props a one day event?

Yes! 

When do gates open and close?

-9am till 5pm. 

What if it rains?

-In the event of bad weather- the event will be postponed until Sunday July 21st 

Will you have an ATM there?

yes, there is ATM located within the event, located in the beer tent at main gate.  Most vendors should accept credit/debit cards.  

Will there be vendors? 

Yes!  There will be food and drink options as well as merchant vendors.  Please check the website for the most current information.  Only water will be allowed through the gate.  

Is a ticket to Pistons and Props included with my ticket to ECHO’s Hangar Dance?

No.  Please click the hangar dance link to be directed towards ECHO for hangar dance ticket purchases. 

Does parking cost anything?

Parking is free!  
Handicap parking is available, please follow signs or inform the parking volunteers for more instructions.

Do you have accessible parking?

Do you have motorcycle parking?

Yes!  A limited # of motorcycle parking is avaiable near the main gate.  There is a secondary overflow in the event this space becomes full.  Please follow signs or volunteer directions. 

Do you have motorhome parking?

No, at this time we are not able to offer motorhome parking.  

Can I bring in a cooler or outside food and drink?

No, outside food and drink is not permitted except water and infant food. Please do not bring a personal cooler.  

Where does the cost of admission go?

Pistons and Props is hosted by Propel Forward, a non profit 501(c)(3), with an all volunteer board.  Our principal mission is hosting and growing this community event at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport.  Additionally, any support and donations helps provide a platform for other non profits and historical aircraft to complete their mission, and money raised by those non profits are retained by them.  Admission is charged to cover the cost of equipment, contracts, etc that were incurred for the event and to raise capital for future events to help keep admission low.  

Can we bring our own seat or blanket to listen to the music?

Yes!  Space on concrete as well as grass will be available during the live music.  Please feel free to bring your own chair or use some of the provided chairs (limited number).   Please help us ensure an enjoyable event for all by not claiming a space and leaving it unoccupied for long periods of time. 

Is the resturant at the airport terminal open during the event?

Yes!  Bessie’s Diner will be open at the main terminal.  Please follow signs to park at the main terminal parking for resturant service.  Please visit www.bessiesdiner.com or call 608-743-9830 for more information. 

Can we smoke at the airshow?

No smoking is allowed on grounds.

What is prohibited?

Weapons, firearms, knives, pepper spray, stun guns, etc.

Ice chest larger than a six pack
Large Ice chest on wheels
Pop-up tent structures
Large beach style umbrellas
Skateboards
Roller skates / roller blades
Hoverboards
Bicycles
ATV’s, quads, dirt bikes, golf carts
Motorized two / three-wheel scooters
Segways, balancing scooters
Motorcycles / mopeds
Barbeques
Large backpacks / bags / duffle bags
Canopies
Large umbrellas
Alcohol
Glass containers
Drones
Pets, other than ADA Compliant certified service animals
Other items Security Personnel deems to be a security risk.

 I am flying in with my aircraft- can i attend the event?

Yes!  Parking will be in front of the terminal.  Please note, ramp space will be limited.  Follow the signs from the terminal to the gate enterance.  Due to safety and out of respect for local hangar tenents, event access from the terminal ramp is prohibited.

Will the Airspace be restricted?

No, all federal aviation regulations are in effect.  Please follow all CFR part 91 regulations.  No low level passes, acrobatics, or flyovers under 1,000 ft are allowed. 

May I leave and re-enter the event?

Yes.  Please ensure you check with the gate prior to exiting for day of procedure for re entery. 

Can I purchase tickets in advance?

Yes, tickets are available through our website in advance.  Cash or Tickets through website day of.  

Could I get a refund?

Sorry, no refunds. 

Do you have a vendor application?

Yes!  However, applications go through a committee approval and space is limited.  Please contact us for more information though the vendor tab on the website.
