Danny Rea was born and raised in Waukegan, IL and ever since a very young age, showed a great passion for music. Growing up, Mexican music played a big role in his life, and he started looking up to artists such as Los Tigres del Norte, Banda el Recodo, Joan Sebastian, Marco Antonio Solis, and many more. At the age of 12, Danny auditioned for Telemundo’s first season of “La Voz Kids”. He was chosen to participate in the show’s pilot episode but was not chosen to be on the show. Even though Danny didn’t stay on the show, this event highly motivated him.
Since then, with his father’s support, he began performing in festivals, family parties, restaurants, etc. in the Chicago/Milwaukee area, making a name for himself as a local singer. Over time, Danny has had the opportunity to sing on stage with some of Mexican music’s top artists such as Grupo Firme, Los Tigres del Norte, Gerardo Ortiz, La Arrolladora Banda el Limon, and many more. In 2020, he participated in the 23rd season of Estrella TV’s hit show “Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento” starring Pepe Garza, Ana Barbara, Don Cheto, and Chiquis Rivera. He was crowned winner along with 4 other participants and formed the musical group: “Nuevo Elemento” and signed with Sony Music Latin.
So far, Nuevo Elemento has released 2 EPs: “4 Sueños, Una Realidad” and “Nueva Navidad”. Their first single, “No Andes Con Nadie” positioned itself within the Top 35 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican charts in the United States and was nominated twice in Premios Juventud. Currently, they are scheduled to release their first album: “Coincidencias” in May of 2023, where 2 of the songs are written by Danny.
