Our Mission is to empower people with developmental disabilities to participate and be fully included in the community.

The Arc leads by articulating a positive vision for the future of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and catalyzes public and private support in realization of that vision through carefully planned and well-executed goals, strategies and action

At the Arc we believe that all individuals with IDD have human dignity, personhood, and rights. Some of these rights are the ability to make life choices for themselves, the right to be involved in the community and the right to support when needed.

We believe that people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities are defined by their own strengths, abilities, and inherent value. Not by their disability.
