Ken's Bio

Ken successfully established his first triathlon in 2007 (Hagerstown Sprint Triathlon). He now owns and operates 7 event series (15 individual races). By 2009 he launched a client based service division, Racine Timing, to offer timing and race management services to groups and organizations wanting their own running or multi-sport events which has grown to well over 60 different races annually.

Ken competed in triathlons in the 20-24 age group as a young athlete and then returned to endurance sports at age 35 after establishing his career and family. By 2001 he was competing again and this time it was that dedication that gave him the desire to be involved in the triathlon scene and establish Racine MultiSports.

It became a dream of Ken’s to organize and direct his own race after competing in his early 20’s. “I find it very rewarding to give back to the sport of triathlon, which has given so much to me, through the races we have created”. “The most satisfying part of establishing RMS was building the business with my entire family”.

In 2015 Ken resigned from a 22 year career in Logistics and Distribution, where he was the Director of Warehousing for Dot Foods, to pursue his business full time. He credits his business experience, leadership skills and ability to run a company to his college education and time spent working in the logistic and distribution industry.

When not running his businesses, Ken enjoys staying active. He is a volunteer Mountain Safety member at Whitetail Ski Resort and enjoys swimming, biking, running, golf and water skiing. But the thing he enjoys the most is being with his family and watching his kids develop into incredible young adults.
