Please join us November 18th for lunch at Ceruti's as our local military leaders provide updates on their units. Following our military update, our featured speaker, Danielle Green will share her story.

We hope you will join the Northeast Indiana Base Community Council in our mission to support our local service members.

Danielle Green is a U.S. Army combat veteran, Purple Heart recipient, Pat Tillman Award for Service honoree, and keynote speaker who helps audiences explore what it means to lead through uncertainty, build meaningful connections, and rebuild when life doesn't go according to plan.

Raised on the South Side of Chicago, Danielle earned a basketball scholarship to the University of Notre Dame, where she navigated injuries, adversity, and self-doubt before becoming the 14th-leading scorer in program history. A few years after graduation, she enlisted in the U.S. Army and deployed to Iraq as a military police officer. In 2004, Danielle was critically wounded in a rocket-propelled grenade attack that resulted in the loss of her dominant arm.

Her recovery reshaped her understanding of resilience and leadership. Danielle learned that rebuilding was never something she did alone. Family, friends, healthcare professionals, fellow veterans, and organizations such Wounded Warrior Project became a part of the community that helped her move forward.

Danielle went on to earn a master's degree in counseling and spent 12 years with the Department of Veterans Affairs, serving fellow veterans as a readjustment counselor and leader before transitioning to a full-time career as a speaker and advocate.

Danielle brings those experiences to organizations through her "No One Climbs Alone" philosophy. She challenges audiences to consider how they lead when circumstances change, who is on their "rope team," and how individuals and organizations can acknowledge the cracks, learn from them, and rebuild together.

Danielle also became the first female combat veteran featured as a playable character in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II" through the Call of Duty Endowment's Legacy Tracer Pack, helping raise awareness and support for veteran employment initiatives.

Through every chapter of her journey -- from Chicago to Notre Dame, Iraq, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the keynote stage -- Danielle carries one enduring message: No one climbs alone.
