Event Description
Joins us at Plainfield High School Auditorium for a fascinating lecture by Dr. Robert Selig, a renowned Historian, Author and Speaker who is an expert on what happened in Eastern CT in 1781. Dr Selig will focus on the contributions of the 7,000 French troops that came through this area on their way to defeat the English at Yorktown, VA, and giving birth to a new nation.
Plainfield High School hallways and cafeteria will also display the art work of local artist David R. Wagner, who documented the French campaign, as well as many other scenes from eastern CT. Doors open for the Art show at 5:45pm, and the 45 minute lecture begins at 7:00pm. Refreshments, artwork prints and books signing by Dr. Selig will be available immediately afterwards.
