Description
Register you team or join at team for the BBQ Battle Royale during Beer City Calistoga.
The BBQ Battle Royale is a team-based BBQ competition. Teams can be registered for the Championship or People's Choice Competition.
In The Championship Competition follows Kansas City BBQ Society rules. Each team prepares ribs and chicken wings. Brisket is optional. All meat is provided. Teams must be a minimum of 5 people and not more than 10. You will have the choice to select the size of your prep area when you register. Each team is expected to prepare 30 samples of their entries to share. The Championship is judged by a blue-ribbon panel of local personalities and gourmands led by Calistoga Mayor Chris Canning. The winners receive the Beer City BBQ Championship Awards and $1,000.
The People's Choice Award is wide open! You can prepare whatever you choose. The people will tell you if they like it! You supply the things you prepare. All your food is a donation to the Beer City Fund and tax deductible.
If you are here to join an existing team, you'll have that chance during registration.
