Event Description
Please join us, Monday, April 21st, 8:00 pm ET, for a virtual webinar featuring 2023 Daphne Zepos Teaching Award recipient Alexandra Jones. Alex did a deep dive into Cheese and Climate Change.
Through her research, Alex tries to answer a few questions:
- How are Cheesemakers and dairy farmers in the US being affected by climate change?
- What's the causal relationship between cheese and dairy production and climate change?
- How are producers mitigating their climate impact and building resilience in their business and supply chains?
Get insights into these questions with stories from our communities in Puerto Rico, Florida, Southern California, and Vermont's NE Kingdom, along with a collection of studies that explore on a macro level where cheese and dairy production sits in the global climate crisis.
Tickets for this event are $10, and you may also add an additional donation directly to the Daphne Zepos Teaching Endowment. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Endowment to further cheese education for past and future recipients as well as make more resources available for the cheese industry.
The event will be held over Zoom and not at any physical location. Space is limited to 100 attendees. A link to the event will be emailed to attendees about 1 hour before event time. Though this event will be recorded, in full transparency it may not be uploaded for some time. Feel free to email any questions to info@dzta.org
