What ages is this event for?
This is our #1 question. The event is designed for girls in the First Grade and up. We have even had some college girls attend. We let the fathers make this decision. If a dad brings a younger girl, he will have to make a few accommodations.
Is there a strict dress code?
We want this to be a great experience for daughters and dads. Dress as nicely as you feel will make the event special. We have had dads dress in everything from jeans and dress shirt to military dress blues. However, most dads wear a suit and tie.
How long does the event last?
We start at 6:00pm, but encourage dates to show up a little early to enjoy photo ops and socializing with friends. Dates can leave as soon as they want when the dancing begins, which is around 7:45pm. For those who stay until the end, the event usually wraps up around 9:00pm.
What is the program for the evening?
Fathers and daughters are announced as they arrive, where they walk the red carpet and are greeted by Cinderella and Prince Charming and have their pictures taken with the royal couple. Before dinner, there are punch and photo opportunities. Next, there is an elegant buffet dinner and a program that includes, music, entertainment, an encouraging message from our speaker, and a very special father-daughter time. Finally, the coup-de-grace, dancing. We begin with a special waltz, followed by "the Gauntlet," your favorite line dances, and much more.
Can a grandfather bring his granddaughter?
ABSOLUTELY! We recognize that some little girls may not have a dad in the home. By all means, her grandfather can be her date for this event.
Can a dad bring more than one daughter?
Absolutely! It’s a challenge, but it can be done. In the cities where we host multiple nights, many dads like to bring one daughter to each night.
How can I be a sponsor?
If you would like to support this event, we have several sponsorship opportunities. You can be a title sponsor, an event sponsor, a Place Setter (table sponsor), or even scholarship a father and daughter.
