Join us on June 12, 2021, as we traverse throughout the Nation’s Capital with our colorful caravan to spread joy, resilience, and PRIDE throughout Washington, DC.

This year, the Capital Pride Alliance is excited to present for the first time the Colorful Pridemobile Parade! This unique mobile parade will feature the official Pridemobile trolly, followed by a colorful array of automobiles decorated by registered organizations and businesses, all on display for enthusiastic onlookers to enjoy. The Pridemobile Parade route will be shared with the general public prior to the event and will pass through some of the city’s most lively areas for optimum visibility, including Dupont and Logan Circles, and iconic landmarks such as the Capitol Building.

 
REGISTRATION

A $100 Registration fee for this event is required and space is limited. Interested in getting your registration fee covered? We’ve made it easy to create your own fundraiser for this event! Simply choose the “Create Fundraiser” option during the registration process.

GUIDELINES

Decorating Guidelines:

• Make your design as colorful as possible! We encourage you to use every color of the progressive Pride flag at least once.
• CPA will provide two placards to display on each participant’s vehicle. Participants should plan on supplying any other decorative items along with materials to attach to their vehicles.
• Please refrain from using materials that will easily blow away during the parade.
• Depictions of violence and profanity are prohibited.
• Confetti and other loose materials that can easily become litter are prohibited.
• Participants are prohibited from throwing items from their car, including beaded necklaces and candy.
• We encourage you to play music from your car while driving the route. Although you may play any music that you wish, the official station for the Pridemobile is HOT 99.5, which will be featuring a Pride Celebration playlist. Please tune in to 99.5 if you would like to synchronize your music with others.

Safety Rules and Regulations:

• SUVs, sedans, convertibles, motorcycles, and pickup trucks are all permitted forms of automobiles. Flatbed trucks and tractor trailers may be utilized for displays; however, participants must remain in the tractor segment of the vehicle.
• For safety reasons, participants on foot and bike are prohibited.
• Participants must obey all traffic laws during the duration of the Pridemobile Parade. This includes wearing seatbelts, obeying posted speed limits, and stopping at red lights, even if other members of the Pridemobile have already passed through.
• Participants are encouraged to use their hazard lights for the duration of the Parade.
• Participants must maintain a safe distance between their vehicle and the vehicle in front of them.
• Participants are encouraged have a full tank of gas at the start of the event.
• Participants are encouraged to use the restroom prior to the event start, to minimize unscheduled stops.
• All drivers must have a driver’s license and be insured. The Capital Pride Alliance is not responsible for any accidents or damages as a result of participating in the Capital Pridemobile Parade.
• The route will last approximately 3 hours. Participants are encouraged to pack water and snacks.
