Train for Your Half Marathon!
Kick off your New Year’s resolutions with the Half Marathon Training Program! Starting January 26th, this five-month in-person program is designed to prepare you to cross the finish line of the Trent Waldron Half Marathon on May 24th.
Whether you’re a beginner training for your first half marathon or a runner looking to up your game, we’ve got training cohorts for every pace and experience level. This group's focus is to support your running journey in a supportive group and individual attention. Workouts start at an easy level and gradually build up, ensuring you’re ready to tackle 13.1 miles with confidence.

Program Details
The Half Marathon Training Program group meets once a week beginning in January on Sundays at Flattop Pizza at 11:30am for our long runs. You are invited to stick around after our training run to cool down with a walk with the Anchorage Running Club's social run/walk.
You'll receive an individualized training plan that includes workouts for the rest of the week to be completed either on your own or with other members of your cohort if scheduling allows.
Your training program includes weekly training plans, Sunday in person sessions, two sessions at the Dome to fine tune your training, a Half Marathon Training Program swag item, and a free entry into the Trent Waldron Half Marathon for everyone who completes the program.
