Oliver Fitz

Oliver Fitz

Oliver Fitz is a 2 year old lab mix with some pitty sprinkled in. He is an LPC Staff pup! Oliver loves hiking and backpacking. He usually walks behind and herds his person while he lets his fur sister Fern lead the way. He really hates water but really enjoys paddle boarding because it means he can stay dry (until Fern tips everyone off the board)! Oliver has already been to 10 states and 6 national parks! He also is the best foster bro! Playing with many puppies and kittens that have come into LPC.

Cooper

Cooper

This is Cooper, a graduate from LPC! We adopted him two years ago and have had the best time blending him into our pack of three other dogs. Cooper loves to hike every morning and get lots of sniffs in. He is a sweet boy and has a wonderful personality. He loves to play with Cosette, our standard poodle. We love our Cooper dog!

Ziggy & Riley

Ziggy & Riley

We adopted both of our pit mixes from LPC - Ziggy, our big brindle boy, in September 2020, and Riley, our little red girl, in January 2023. Ziggy is the sweetest, most sensitive soul who never turns down a chance to join the clean plate club. Riley is fiesty and affectionate and obsessed with rocks (especially ones in rivers) and will carry them for miles. True to their pittie nature, they're the ultimate cuddle bugs, always eager to snuggle with us and each other. Thank you LPC for bringing them into our lives - they bring us endless joy!

Piper Boots

Piper Boots

Hi! I’m Piper Boots! I chose my family when they came to visit LPC 8 years ago. I convinced them to take me home by sitting on my mom’s foot and showing my makeup-made face to my human sister. My mom picked me up on her birthday to surprise my human siblings! I’ve since been ruling the house, until my disaster of a little brother joined us in 2020. Since then, I’ve been having to keep him in line by biting his feet. Here are some dislikes: Hard wood floors, thunder, loud sounds, weed wacker, and my human step-brother Ty with his beard (he’s got a funny smell, I think it’s the insulin), and squirrels. I LOVE: wearing flowers on my collar and dressing up, sunbathing on my porch, whipped cream, peanut butter, cookies, belly scratching, sleeping in my human sister Rylee’s bed, going to KAMP, playing in the ditch at CWC and our farm, going on walks and hikes!

Wylie, Griz, & Ursa

Wylie, Griz, & Ursa

D Koch, LPC's Chief Poop Scooper has 3 LPC Alumni Rescue Dogs. Grizz and Ursa are littermates from a batch of puppies found at a region waste transfer station in February 2021. The Koch's fostered multiple litters before falling in love with these two. Griz (21.6% pitty) is mellow, Mr. Mischief, hater of deer, SnuggleBoi. Ursa (21.6% pitty) is an anxious and neurotic  velcro dog with a fabulous recall who adores her momma. Wylie (7.4% pitty) came to LPC as a stray in Dec 2022. He was cautious of humans, very smart and a dog play therapist. D adopted him in July 2022 after he was overlooked for being too shy.

Peaches

Peaches

This is our “Granddogger” Peaches. She showed up in the alley and wormed her way into everyone’s heart. She is happy and playful and if she had an anthem song it would be “Girls just want to have fun” by Cyndi Lauper. We got her a DNA test for Christmas and she is mostly Pittie but also pug, shepherd and McNab.  She loves every person or dog she has ever met. She is always up for a walk, a trip to the dog park or a snuggle.

Arrow

Arrow

Meet Arrow, the dashing fellow who rocks his tuxedo coat with style. This charming guy loves nothing more than a walk in the woods, has impressive jumping feats, and strategically timed butt scratches on his terms. Breakfast and dinner are his highlights of the day, but don't expect him to linger in crowded spaces - he's outta there. His signature moves? The side-eye, paired with an Oscar-worthy performance when mealtime approaches.

Arrow is a Pet Connection alum, and benefited from the amazing foster program in his early puppy months.

Downtown Moxie Brown

Downtown Moxie Brown

Downtown Moxie Brown (AKA Moxie) is a pit/lab mix and an LPC alum (formerly named Bella), who was rescued on the side of the road in Riverton. She was first taken to PAWS, but because she is a pit, was soon transferred to the LPC after the only interest in her appeared to be suspect. Her dad filed for her adoption the moment he saw her pics posted on the LPC Facebook page, and she wiggled into his heart/home less than three days later.

Moxie is now going on eight years old, and her favorite things include: walks on Main Street, splashing in creeks, eating omelettes on the weekend with her dad (complete with cheese tax), daily tug of war sessions, naps/cuddle time, photo sessions with her human cousin Arlo and hanging out with her doggo cousins Rigby and Dolly Pawton when we visit family in Utah.

Lola

Lola

Lola is the absolute perfect mixed breed dog; her DNA boasts Great Pyrenees, Treeing Walker Coonhound, Cattle dog, mountain Curr, and Chow Chow to name a few. She rings in at 12.9% staffordshire terrier!

She was adopted from LPC about 4 years ago and surprisingly enough, she was not the most timid of the litter. Those who know Lola, know that in order to win her heart, you must do fun things, like romp in the woods, play in the water, camp, bike and ski. And boy, is she a sucker for tasty treats. She has become the best adventure partner! I couldn’t ask for a better friend in this world.

Churro

Churro

Hi, My name is Churro and I like to think I am the cutest pit bull mix there is. I have 3 human sibling (Savannah, Justus, Mateo) and I have a dog brother (Rico) we rough house and wrestle a lot. My favorite things to do are go for walks play with my other dog friend Hudson and cuddle with my humans (I’m little spoon ALWAYS). I am the sweetest most loving dog you will ever meet; I may be huge in size but at heart I am still a puppy who love to run around the house. I love my humans a lot and I know that they love me too.

Lucy

Lucy

Lucy came into our lives nine years ago through Lander Pet Connection, and she’s been an inspiration ever since. This sweet pittie was terrified and undersocialized when we first met her. Walks down the street were a challenge as she would put the brakes on, unsure of the world around her. But through patience, love, and a lot of treats, Lucy has blossomed into a confident, expressive dog who brings joy to everyone she meets.

Now, Lucy is both gentle and energetic—a perfect mix of a snuggle bug and an adventure buddy! She’s hiked more trails in the Wind River Range than many dogs and has a particular talent for chasing squirrels with boundless enthusiasm. Lucy loves her dog buddies and has a unique affection for cats, making her a fantastic friend to all kinds of animals.

From her early days of fear to her current days of fun, Lucy has proven to be an incredible canine companion. She’s one of the best pitties out there, and we couldn’t imagine our lives without her.
