Nyshell Lawrence
A celebrated poet + creative entrepreneur, living in Michigan with her husband and children. With a focus on merging faith + feminism, her life and work is a celebration of Black womanhood. As the founder and owner of Socialight Society, she has established the first Black-owned bookstore in the Lansing Mall, dedicated to highlighting literature by and about Black women!

Elaine Barr
The co-owner of Strange Matter Coffee in Lansing, Elaine founded the business with her wife, Cara Nader. Together, they transformed their space known for its quality brews and community focus. Their dedication to fostering a welcoming space for all, has made Strange Matter more than just a coffee shop—it’s a community hub where creativity, conversation, and great coffee come together.

Carlie Beatty & Lindsey Mulder 
Carlie and Lindsey are two of the current Co-Owners of Playmakers, in Okemos Michigan.
A former MSU cross-country runner, Carlie channels her passion for running and community wellness by fostering meaningful connections with customers and local organizations.

Lindsey is dedicated to advancing the running industry, currently serving as Vice President of the Running Industry Association, where she helps drive industry-wide growth and development.
Both are devoted parents, wives, and friends, committed to inspiring movement and positive change within the local community.

Mandy Marsh
Amanda "Mandy" Marsh PE, LEED AP BD+C, leads C2AE's structural engineering discipline with two decades of experience. She has contributed to numerous community projects, focusing on enhancing user experience and safety. Mandy's expertise spans various markets, including recreation, municipal buildings, and education, making her a valuable resource for diverse structural design strategies and a lead in literally shaping the Greater Lansing community. 

Nikki Thompson Frazier
Founder and owner of Sweet Encounter Bakery & Café, a gourmet bakery and café specializing in gluten-free, soy-free, and peanut-free desserts. Inspired by her daughters' food allergies, she created allergen-friendly treats without compromising taste.
Nikki's commitment to quality and inclusivity has made her bakery a trusted destination for those seeking allergen-friendly desserts. 

Melissa Rabideau 
The founder and CEO of tinkrLAB, a STEAM learning center in East Lansing, Michigan. Inspired by her father, inventor Joe Rabideau, Melissa established tinkrLAB to support young inventors and foster hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. tinkrLab has expanded to include tinkrTOTS, a childcare and preschool program with STEAM-focused education to children. Her dedication to experiential learning has made tinkrLAB a cornerstone for creativity and innovation in the community.
