Temple Emeth and Saga Concepts have joined forces with Max Fefer's Hanukkah Goblins Table Top Role Playing Game to save Hanukkah.  No computers are involved, all ages can play, and you don't have to be Jewish or experienced in role playing games.  

From 7:00 to 9:00 pm on December 4, 2024, we'll meet at Saga Concepts in Englewood, form teams, enjoy light refreshments, and help save Hanukkah. 

Tickets are $25.00 each and will include light refreshments including sufganiyot (jelly doughnuts).

What is this Table Top Role Playing Game going to be like? Glad you asked. Again, no computers are involved.  We will break up into small groups of about 4- 6 people each who will sit around a table at Saga Concepts.  Each player in their group will decide what kind of goblin they are (Stealthy, Brave, Mischievous, Joyful, etc.), and their special item (a Drieidel of Power, a Babka of Persuasion, a Sufganiyot  Launcher, etc.). Each group will decide on a starting scenario and then engage in communal role playing to save Hanukkah. Experienced game players will be on hand to help guide us.

As Max Fefer says in his online introduction to the game: "Your goal now is to convince the other Hanukkah goblins in the neighboring towns to embrace the spirit of Hanukkah. You won’t be doing this alone though! You will work together with your goblin friends and have special items. On your adventure, you will meet townsfolk and other goblins. It is your job to spread as much Hanukkah cheer as you can before the end of Hanukkah."
