Wilderness Survival Camping
This survival immersion retreat is designed to be an educational opportunity for a lost hiker situation, providing training in primitive living skills. Mimicking a pre-rescue situation, learn how to build a debris hut shelter, disinfect water, make and manage fire, identify edible plants, and navigate natural terrain. (In the event of a fire ban, measures will be taken to ensure health and safety.) Participants will receive a take-home survival kit including a wool blanket, a boil cup, a knife, and a spark stick.
Meet your Guide - Roary Kiah Archibald
I was born and raised in Evergreen, Colorado and grew up exploring the woods returning home to my mothers whistle before dark. I have been camping and practicing primitive/survival skills since my teens, and found a love of nature and the outdoors. I currently teach outdoor adventure camps for children and adults. I am a MOVNAT level 3 trainer/survival instructor. I have been using nature living skills, meditation, natural movement and deep nature exposure to heal from past ailments like asthma and other mechanical injuries.
