Come be a part of the Monmouth-Independence Rotary Club's Independence Day Grand Parade. 

This parade is a community tradition traversing the towns of Monmouth and Independence from Western Oregon University in Monmouth to Riverview Park in Independence.

Staging begins: 9:00

Judging: 10:00-11:00

Step out at 12:00 noon

Approx. 3 miles/2 Hrs. travel time

    *Categories 7-10 will be judged on cleanliness and decorations.

Rules & Regulations

• No entry shall be allowed that depicts, advocates or opposes any political or social cause. The parade celebrates Independence Day. Please have your entry support our theme. Offensive entries may be removed from the parade.
• No throwing of any material from floats. Candy must be walked to the curb. Do not squirt water at spectators unless requested. Violators may be removed from the parade.
• Fire extinguishers may be required by the parade chair or Fire Marshal at their discretion.
• No written or other material may be handed out along the parade route without the express permission of the parade chair.
• All animals must be trained and kept under control at all times.
• The Rotary Club shall have full authority to exclude any entry deemed hazardous to participants/observers at any time during the parade.
• Any entrant that willfully violates any law or whose actions are deemed dangerous at any time along the parade route will be removed from the parade.
• Violators will not be entitled to an entry fee refund.
