Reading FUR Fun

Readers of all ages* are invited to come read to a shelter pet here at Longmont Humane Society. Each reader gets a 15-minute reservation with a pet thoughtfully chosen by our staff, and a 20% discount coupon for our pet retail shop, Boz's Place. The shop is located right inside LHS and the coupon is good until December 21, 2024. We have found that reading to animals in the shelter gives the pets a bit of calm companionship while promoting literacy and love for animals out in the community.    *Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
