Our Kids & Critters camps offer fun, interactive lessons in animal welfare, safety, and compassion, while getting to know the various animal care roles that are necessary in the shelter and out in the community!

This year, we're thrilled to announce the expansion of our Kids and Critters Camp offerings to continue throughout the school year! 

Session Dates:

Critter Crafts & Games:  October 11 & 14 9am to 3pm |  Ages 7-12Join us for a fun-filled, 2 day adventure where kids will unleash their creativity with exciting animal-themed art projects and interactive games. This camp is the perfect opportunity for young animal lovers to connect, explore their passion for wildlife, and make new friends while having a blast!

Animal Allies Academy: November 25 & 26th 9AM - 3 PM | Ages 9-13 Campers will learn to harness the power of social media advocacy to make a real difference in the world by collaborating with fellow campers to craft a world-changing social media post for LHS!

What to Expect: Our half-day mini camps are designed to foster the development of safe animal-handling skills, inspire careers with animals, and empower kids to make a difference in the lives of animals in our community. Campers will have a PAWS-itive time engaging in interactive animal-themed games, activities, and guest presentations. It's a unique opportunity for your child to have a DOGGONE good time expanding their knowledge of animal care, welfare, and safety in a fun and interactive environment.
