Únase a la Alianza de Sierra Nevada para un evento gratuito, bilingüe y familiar en Lake Tahoe.
El sábado 14 de septiembre, Luis Rubio-Aguilar guiará una caminata por la naturaleza en el vecindario, seguida de un almuerzo y una sesión de remo en South Lake Tahoe. Luis enseñará a los participantes sobre los increíbles árboles y la vida silvestre local aquí en South Lake Tahoe y las áreas alrededor del lago Tahoe. A continuación, nos dirigiremos a la playa para disfrutar de un almuerzo, seguido de una sesión de remo en el lago Tahoe. Join the Sierra Nevada Alliance for a free, bilingual, family-friendly event in Lake Tahoe.
On Saturday, September 14, Luis Rubio-Aguilar will guide a neighborhood nature hike followed by lunch and a paddle session in South Lake Tahoe. Luis will teach participants about the amazing local trees and wildlife here in South Lake Tahoe and the Tahoe Basin. Then, we'll head to the beach for a free lunch, followed by a paddle session on Lake Tahoe. Participants can choose from a double kayak or a paddle board, and a lifeguard will be present.
Attendance is not required at all portions of the day, but we hope you'll join us for all three!

Semana de Conservación Latina: Disfrutando y Conservando Nuestra Tierra es una iniciativa de Hispanic Access Foundation. La Semana de la Conservación Latina se creó para ayudar a la comunidad latina a salir al aire libre y participar en actividades para proteger nuestros recursos naturales.
Durante esta semana, organizaciones y agencias comunitarias, sin fines de lucro, religiosas y gubernamentales realizan eventos en todo el país. Desde caminatas y campamentos hasta mesas redondas comunitarias y proyecciones de películas, estas actividades promueven los esfuerzos de conservación en su comunidad y brindan una oportunidad para que los latinos muestren su apoyo para proteger permanentemente nuestra tierra, agua y aire.
About Latino Conservation Week
Latino Conservation Week: Disfrutando y Conservando Nuestra Tierra is an initiative of Hispanic Access Foundation. Latino Conservation Week was created to support the Latino community getting into the outdoors and participating in activities to protect our natural resources.
During this week, community, non-profit, faith-based, and government organizations and agencies hold events throughout the country. From hiking and camping to community roundtables and film screenings, these activities promote conservation efforts in their community, and provide an opportunity for Latinos to show their support for permanently protecting our land, water, and air.
