Hispanic/Latinos are underrepresented in medicine and other Healthcare fields. We offer merit-based and need-based scholarships to talented students pursuing medical, nursing, and allied health careers. Our scholarships aim to alleviate the financial burden of medical education and enable more students to achieve their dreams of becoming healthcare professionals.

Mentorship Initiative

Our mentorship programs connect experienced healthcare professionals with students and early-career practitioners. Through one-on-one guidance and group workshops, we foster professional development and create a supportive network for the next generation of medical leaders.

Educational Resources

We develop high-quality educational materials and resources designed to enhance learning outcomes for healthcare students and professionals at all levels through educational webinars and events.

Leadership Fellowship & Internship Programs

Our Leadership Fellowship & Internship Programs provide early and mid-career Hispanic/Latino physicians and other healthcare providers with education and training opportunities for leadership and policy development. This commitment to developing leaders ensures that they can become advocates and change-makers in their institutions, organizations, and communities.

Research

We collaborate with other organizations on research that addresses Hispanic/Latino health priorities to improve access and quality of care. We also fund and publish the NHMA Journal, a peer-reviewed academic publication focusing on research that impacts Latino communities.
