Frequently asked questions:
Can I still register for the conference after Nov. 1?
Unfortunately registration has closed in order to get an accurate headcount for the venue. If you have a very compelling reason to register late, email us at info@sierranevadaalliance.org and we may be able to help.
I can't make it. Will this event be livestreamed or recorded?
It will not be, however any important initiatives/ideas that come out of the event will be followed up on and sent out to any interested parties so that we can pursue them.
What are the food options at the event?
Enjoy a continental breakfast, coffee, and tea from Cork 'n More, and a taco bar lunch catered by Sombreros. Light snacks, including fruit, popcorn, and more, will be available courtesy of the Alliance.
I am attending and have dietary restrictions and/or need accomodations. What should I do?
We are closely following the information that was entered at the time of registration including diet and accomodations. If you need to change or add anything to this info, please email us at info@sierranevadaalliance.org. Please note that we will do our best to provide a selection of food that does not contain common allergens, and by labeling all foods we are providing, but this is not a guarantee of zero cross-contamination. You are responsible for making sure that foods you consume do not contain any allergens.
I have reserved a hotel room and need help with my reservation. What should I do?
We suggest contacting the hotel directly. If you still have questions they cannot help with, please contact Diana Dominguez at diana@sierranevadaalliance.org
What is the difference between a General and Breakout Session and how do I choose?
We know that everybody has unique interests, but our General Sessions were designed for mass-apeal with topics that are very current in today's conservation world. There is only one General Session at a time, so that the whole group can attend this together. The Breakout Sessions are designed for you to choose which topic appeals to you best. There are three Breakout Sessions each during two blocks of the day on Friday.
Tell me about the Alliance Board Elections and General Session 3 (formerly the Member Group Meeting)
We hold an annual Member Group Meeting each fall, where we also host elections for our Board of Directors. On Friday afternoon at 2:40 p.m. we will begin this session with elections. Instead of conducting a formal meeting though, we have decided to turn this into a general session where we can connect with all conference attendees. This session is now called Strengthening Conservation Impact Through Partnership.
