The Scena Awards recognize excellence in running and volunteering in the Bay Area trail running community. Each year, we give 3 awards:

• The Christine Chapon Award, to recognize a rising star. We refer to this award as The Frenchie
• The Stan Jensen Award, to recognize a long history of running and service. We refer to this award as The Legend

and new in 2024, we present at new award:

• The Carol LaPlant Award, to recognize runners who have created a legacy in running here and how who were part of the birth of Bay Area ultrarunning. We refer to this award as The GOAT.
