Fur Ball FAQs
How does the Fur Ball help the Richmond SPCA?
All proceeds help sick, injured and neonatal homeless animals. Please stay home if you test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of the date of the Fur Ball or are exhibiting symptoms consistent with COVID-19. Money raised through the Fur Ball supports our Cinderella Fund, the pool of resources that helps to cover the cost of the medical treatment and rehabilitation of the thousands of dogs, cats, kittens and puppies we take into our care each year. More than 80% of the pets who enter our shelter depend on the Cinderella Fund for lifesaving care before we adopt them into loving, lasting homes.
Will vaccines be required in order to attend?
We encourage guests to be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccination per the CDC’s recommendation. Guests with symptoms of illness consistent with COVID-19 or a positive COVID-19 test within ten days of the date of the Fur Ball, may not attend the evening of November 5. Please contact Laurie Mavica, our manager of events, at lmavica@richmondspca.org if you are unable to attend.
