UPDATE: New Mission and Location

We have an incredible opportunity to make a real difference and support needy communities.

The GRITCon Games event originally scheduled for October 25-27 has shifted its focus to disaster relief service projects near Asheville, NC, in collaboration with Mountain Strong and Aerial Recovery.

This is a free opportunity for members to participate in work projects to aid areas hardest hit by recent floods. We’ll be setting up a nearby camping field where you can bring RVs, campers, or tents, and masterminds will be organized between service projects.

Can’t attend but still want to help? You can support Mountain Strong with financial donations here: https://www.mountainstrong828.com/

Our Basecamp Location:
55 Hortons Creek Rd
Burnsville, NC  28714
(Closest airport is Asheville or Charlotte)

Camping Info:
We will be setup in a field close to many of the service projects. Bring your own RV, camper or tent and any supplies and food you would typically need for a multi-day camping trip. IF you’re not able to source these materials, please indicate this on our NC Relief Participant Sheet and we’ll make sure to provide whatever you need.

Service Projects:
These are ever-changing, but expect projects like clearing trees, splitting and stacking wood, cleaning up resident or community properties, stocking and delivering supplies, etc. We are coordinating through Mountain Strong, Aerial Recovery and the National Guard on all ongoing projects in the area which we can help with.

Supplies Needed:
Supplies such as generators, chain-saws, shovels, axes, trucks, gloves, etc. will be helpful for those who can bring them. Please let us know what you plan to bring on the NC Relief Participant Sheet.
