Volunteers Make It Happen!

We couldn’t host first-class events without the incredible support of our volunteers. A typical race requires over 50 volunteers to ensure the safety of our athletes and deliver an exceptional experience.

We’re excited to announce updates to our Volunteer Runner Program, providing more flexible options to support our events. You can choose from the following:

1️⃣ Volunteer and Run a Future Event:
Give your time as a volunteer and earn a free entry to a future event.

2️⃣ Volunteer Before, Participate, and Volunteer After:
Help before and after the event, and enjoy participating in the race itself.

3️⃣ Volunteer Before and Receive a 50% Discount Code:
Help out before the event and get a discount code for half off your next registration.

Note: Priority will be given to options 1 and 2 first.

Perks for Volunteers:

• Race for Free! Sign up to help at any SCSE-owned event, and we’ll comp your next race entry. Just let us know which race you’d like to join, and you’re in—no charge!

Volunteer Roles Needed:

• Pre-Race Setup
• Course Marshals
• Vending Support (food, merchandise, sales)
• Course Tear Down
• Parking Directors
• Traffic Monitors
• Hydration Stations
• Check-In (day before and day of)
• Finish Line Assistance (medals, timing chips)

We welcome individuals and groups, including those seeking community service hours. Non-profits volunteering as a group can set up a tent/display to share materials—perfect for school groups, sports teams, Scouts, church groups, and community organizations!

Age Requirements:

• 14+ for aid stations (must arrange own transportation).
• 18+ for course marshals.

Free Race Entry Details:

• All volunteers can participate in a future SCSE-owned event at no cost.
• Simply choose your event and request a code here.

The Fine Print:

• Only SCSE-owned events are eligible. Check the event website for ownership details.
• Marathons and triathlons require volunteering at more than one event to qualify. For details, contact us directly.
