- Parking, Ticket Scan, and Wristband check-in is REMOTE from the event. Parking is at 4461 North Highway 17 , Awendaw.
- NO ENTRY/ PARKING at the event venue. Transportation to and from remote parking is provided.
- Pets are NOT allowed.
- Transportation begins 1 hour prior to your ticket time. (5 pm Friday and Saturday NIGHT, 1 pm Saturday DAY and Sunday)
Event Description
Gather your family and friends for CHRISTkindlmarkt Charleston 2024 and experience an authentic and romantic Christmas Market inspired by the first one in Dresden, Germany in 1434 ... the Middle Ages! The festive atmosphere at CHRISTkindlmarkt Charleston includes shopping the wares of artisan makers, seasonal gifts from local entrepreneurs, holiday decor and other European finds, especially traditional German handcrafts! Sip German inspired beers in the two biergartens and Gluhwein, the famous hot mulled wine of the German Christkindlmarkts . Eat, snack, and enjoy sweet treats from food vendors. Or just slow down and sit under the oaks by day or by the fireside at night! We also invite all to celebrate the Advent season and CHRISTmas at each Markt closing with DAY Markt story-time (4:40p.m) (pre-purchase the storybook in the STOREFRONT at checkout) or NIGHT Markt gathering for vespers and carols (9:40p.m.), both located at the benches at the exit. We look forward to hosting the celebration of Christmas with you as part of your holiday tradtions!
NEW THIS YEAR!!! *This year meet the Klaus's, traveling from Germany, who are the inspiration behind our Markt. Also, at each markt find the German "meet up" spot to connect with others who lived in Germany or are German. This will be a fun, new element at this year's markt.
GLUHWEIN collectors cup 2024 ???? YES, A limited quantity of pre-sale wine cups are available for purchase in the online STOREFRONT at checkout. The color and design for 2024 will be revealed at markt opening. Don't miss out, purchase, pick up in -person only on the day associated with your ticket and buy the Gluhwein at the bar for the re-fill price or gift a cup to a friend!

ADMISSION guidelines:
NIGHT MARKT (6-10 pm) admission is ONLY adults.
DAY Markt (1-5 pm) and is all ages. Age 5 and under are free.
NO tickets will be sold at the event.
WEATHER: This is a rain or shine event, and tickets are non-refundable. After all, in Germany they brave rain, cold, and snow to gather at their Christmas markets.
PARKING AND EVENT CHECK IN: Arrival is at 4461 N US -17 in Awendaw where tickets are scanned and wristbands given. No parking is available at the festival address, on the street or nearby businesses. Free shuttles are provided from the remote parking to the entrance of the CHRISTkindlmarkt CHS. Buses begin transport one hour prior to your markt ticket time. Riding the bus is FUN.....like 4th grade!
MARKT ENTRY: no ENTRY allowed at CHRISTkindlmarkt CHS unless arriving by SHUTTLE. A color-coded wristband corresponding to your Markt session will need to be worn and visible at all times.
PETS: NO pets are allowed at any Markt. No exceptions due to waterfowl and wildlife at the private property.
TICKET Transfers: Ticket transfers are available with restrictions and are the responsibility of the ticket holder not CHRISTkindlmarkt CHS. See the MANAGE YOUR TICKETS BUTTON BELOW.
ALCOHOL PURCHASE/Food: If purchasing alcohol, a valid ID for age 21 over proof will be necessary. No outside food or drink is allowed; however, it is available for purchase with credit card and cash (at some stalls).
TRANSPORTATION: begins 1 hour prior to your ticket time. Your ticket purchase is for a 4-hour time period (the first half hour is food and bev only). We close between markets (5-6 pm) so plan to arrive at opening.
HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY: . handicapped parking is available for all with proper vehicle placards. After checking in for ticket scan any persons with a wheelchair, scooter, or walker can request a pass to ride the ADA transport van to and from the event venue. This does not include strollers. This is for handicap only with a mobility device.
